Edinburgh Graphic Novel Book Club - Dark Entries by Ian Rankin
Details
Edinburgh's own Ian Rankin, the world-famous crime novelist, penned one graphic novel and we will discuss it here!
"Dark Entries" by Edinburgh-resident and crime novel legend: Ian Rankin as well as art by Werther Dell'Edera, co-creator of smash hit Something is Killing the Children, will be our graphic novel for the month of February! Perfect for first-time Graphic Novel readers & enthusiasts.
More and more people are realizing how strong of a storytelling medium Graphic Novels are and it's time for them to be discussed as regular books.
This club welcomes beginners and enthusiasts with a short read (about 1.5hrs) that packs a roller coaster of classic crime twists.
At our meeting will be discussing and celebrating "Dark Entries", a Vertigo (DC imprint)-published, second ever on Vertigo Crime, and Ian Rankin's only graphic novel.
The story follows longtime comic favorite, John Constantine, as he is roped into a Big Brother-like reality show.
You do not need to know anything about Constantine to enjoy this at it is 100% standalone.
If you have ever see Matt Ryan's portrayal on the NBC series "Constantine" or CW's "Legends of Tomorrow", he does a panel perfect portrayal and it will feel very familiar.
