Through systematic training in meditation, we can progress towards a special state of concentration known as tranquil abiding a mind that remains effortlessly focused for as long as we wish and that is capable of gaining deep spiritual insight and realisation.
In this two-week course, we will explore the essential principles of this extraordinary meditation practice. Learning to overcome distraction and cultivate mental stability, we begin to access deeper levels of concentration and gain greater control of our mind both in and out of meditation practice. Through this unique training we can become confident in our ability to unlock the mind’s vast potential for spiritual progress.
These classes provide the perfect preparation for our June away retreat, where we will have the opportunity to deepen this practice in a peaceful retreat setting. Whether you are planning to attend the retreat or simply wish to strengthen your meditation, you will find practical guidance, inspiration, and a clear path forward.
Suitable for those with some meditation experience, though everyone is welcome.
Each class includes 2 guided meditations, a practical teaching, and time for discussion. Meditation is done seated in chairs with the option to sit on a mat and cushion if you prefer.
This course is perfect for anyone wishing to deepen their meditation practice. It is possible to drop-in to any class if you cannot attend the whole course.
After the class there is tea and biscuits in the cafe provided free of charge for those who would like to stay on and discuss the class or their meditation practice.
