Please join us in a BBQ to say goodbye to the end of summer at the
Meadows.
BBQs will be provided, all you need to do is bring some food and something drink. If you have something to sit upon can you please bring it along as I have only one rug.
If anyone has any games that they want to play or a football to kick around, feel free.
Hopefully it will be a warm sunny day, but this is Scotland and anything can happen.
If the weather turns bad, i shall cancel the event.
There is a £2 fee to attend the BBG, if you haven't contributed to the running of the group. The money is used to pay group fees, buy BBQs etc.

Please join us for a lovely Sunday ramble through the Pentland hills from Flotterstone (EH26 0PP) to Bonaly park (EH13 0PB).
The walk is delightful with beautiful and rewarding views.
I would describe the walk as moderately challenging, and it can be demanding in certain sections.
Depending on the route we take it should be approx. 12km in distance and take between 4 to 5 hours. We should be finished between 6 and 7pm.
We shall be stopping for breaks on the hike, so please bring food and something to drink.
Regarding weather, this is Scotland and anything can happen, so please be prepared and dress accordingly. The ground can be wet and muddy, please wear sensible footwear.
Can we please meet by WH SMITH'S inside Edinburgh bus Station (EH1 3DQ) at approx. 13.00. We shall take bus 101 leaving at 13.20 for Dumfries. The journey is approximately 40 minutes and se should arrive in Flotterstone at 14.00.
Bus number 10 leaves every 30 minutes for Edinburgh from close to our finish destination at Bonaly Park.
If one is attending an event. Can you please turn up on time. We are not paid tour guides that gives location updates every ten minutes. We are too busy and not paid to give running updates on locations.

Everyone taking part in the Group activities does so at their own risk.
We do not employ qualified guides, leaders or first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who go out walking together, who invite others to join them on this basis.
Event organisers and event hosts assume no responsibility for anyone attending any group event. The Group, group organisers, event organisers and event hosts will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss occurring as a result of any Group event or in connection with travel to such event, however caused.
When you join a walk or other event, you indicate that you accept these conditions and accept that no legal liability is accepted by the group, group organisers, event organisers or event hosts in the event of accident or injury, however caused.
Participants in Group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (boots, waterproofs, etc) and the group does not provide these. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and their guests and the suitability of any equipment used. Any Medical Conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
While accepting no responsibility or liability, for walks and other outdoor events, the event host or walk leader may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the walk or other event if in their opinion you are ill-equipped for the terrain and weather conditions.
Dogs are usually allowed on walks, but this is entirely at the discretion of the walk leader- please see the individual event details or contact the walk leader- dogs must be kept under close control at all times and on a lead where necessary or requested by the walk leader.
