BONALY PARK 15KM HIKE  - CIRCULAR ROUTE

Please join us for a fun and stimulating hike in Bonaly country park.
The hike is a circular route through the gorgeous Pentland hills, we shall be starting and finishing at the same place (Bonaly park carpark)
We shall start in Bonaly Park car park and then head up past Torduff reservoir, then onto Harbour hill, passing Bonaly Reservoir, then passing the Boy Scouts camp and finishing back at Bonaly car park.
The hike is about 15km and is moderate going and should take 4 to 4.5 hours, there is one tough section in the walk.
The ground can be wet and muddy in places, please bring suitable footwear. This is Scotland regarding the weather, please dress accordingly as anything can happen.
We shall be having breaks on the way, so feel free to bring food and drinks.

For people taking the bus from Edinburgh, can we meet outside the Vodafone shop (EH2 3AA) on Castle Street around 11.20 or so. We shall take bus 10 to Bonaly at 11.43 from bus stop PV. We should get to Bonaly at 12.10.
For people who want to meet us at Bonaly Park, can we meet in the carpark at 12.30.
There are bus from Bonaly to Edinburgh every 30 minutes.

We do not employ qualified guides, leaders or first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who go out walking together, who invite others to join them on this basis.
Event organisers and event hosts assume no responsibility for anyone attending any group event. The Group, group organisers, event organisers and event hosts will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss occurring as a result of any Group event or in connection with travel to such event, however caused.
When you join a walk or other event, you indicate that you accept these conditions and accept that no legal liability is accepted by the group, group organisers, event organisers or event hosts in the event of accident or injury, however caused.
Participants in Group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (boots, waterproofs, etc) and the group does not provide these. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and their guests and the suitability of any equipment used. Any Medical Conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
While accepting no responsibility or liability, for walks and other outdoor events, the event host or walk leader may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the walk or other event if in their opinion you are ill-equipped for the terrain and weather conditions.
Dogs are usually allowed on walks, but this is entirely at the discretion of the walk leader- please see the individual event details or contact the walk leader- dogs must be kept under close control at all times and on a lead where necessary or requested by the walk leader.
