WATER OF LEITH WALK FROM BALERNO TO SLATEFORD

Please join us for a Sunday ramble along the fabulous Water of Leith of walk.
We shall be starting the walk at Balerno and walking to Water of Leith visitors centre at Slateford.
The walk is absolutely delightful and is about 8 km in length and will take approx. 2.5 hours and is easy going.
Please join us outside the Vodafone shop on Prince's street (EH2 3AA) at 11.15 or so. We shall be taking bus 44 from bus stop PZ at 11.33. to Balerno High. The journey will take approx. 40 minutes.
For anyone wanting to meet us at the start, please be at the start of Water of Leith walk at 12.15.
We shall be finishing at the Water of Leith Walk Visitor's centre at around 14.45 and having a coffee there, everyone is welcome to join us.
There are buses (bus 44) every 20 minutes from Slateford to Edinburgh city centre.
This is Scotland and anything can happen regarding the weather, please be prepared and dress accordingly.
Animals are very welcome on the walk, but please keep your animals on a lead
We shall be stopping for a quick break halfway, so feel free to bring a snack and something to drink.

We do not employ qualified guides, leaders or first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who go out walking together, who invite others to join them on this basis.

Participants in Group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (boots, waterproofs, etc) and the group does not provide these. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and their guests and the suitability of any equipment used. Any Medical Conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
While accepting no responsibility or liability, for walks and other outdoor events, the event host or walk leader may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the walk or other event if in their opinion you are ill-equipped for the terrain and weather conditions.
Dogs are usually allowed on walks, but this is entirely at the discretion of the walk leader- please see the individual event details or contact the walk leader- dogs must be kept under close control at all times and on a lead where necessary or requested by the walk leader.
