Water of Leith walk from Slateford to Leith.

Please join us for a walk along the famous water of Leith pathway.
This a lovely walk starting at Water of Leith Visitor Centre and Cafe in Slateford (EH14 1TQ) will take us through urban Edinburgh and past iconic sites such as Murrayfield stadium and the beautiful Dean's village with the walk finishing at Leith.
Now that spring is here, the trees will be in leaf making the walk especially pretty.
The walk is not particularly demanding and shall take between 3 to 3.5 hours and is approx. 7 miles in length
We shall be stopping about half way (90 min) at Stockbridge for a 20 minute break.

At Leith we will be probably having something to eat and drink at the end of the walk, everyone is very welcome to join us.
Regarding the weather, this is Scotland and anything can happen. Please dress accordingly.

We shall be taking bus 44 to Balerno at 11.38 from stop PZ and getting off at Slateford, the journey will take approx 20 mins.
From Leith there here is the tram and various buses that leave regularly to the city centre and other parts of Edinburgh.
Pleased turn up for the event on time. I cannot answer messages from people who are late and want locations and meeting points etc as I am leading the walk and don't have time to constantly look at my phone.
We do not employ qualified guides, leaders or first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who go out walking together, who invite others to join them on this basis. Event organisers and event hosts assume no responsibility for anyone attending any group event. Participants in Group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (boots, waterproofs, etc) and the group does not provide these. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and their guests and the suitability of any equipment used. Any Medical Conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader prior to the start of the walk.
While accepting no responsibility or liability, for walks and other outdoor events, the event host or walk leader may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the walk or other event if in their opinion you are ill-equipped for the terrain and weather conditions.
Dogs are usually allowed on walks, but this is entirely at the discretion of the walk leader- please see the individual event details or contact the walk leader- dogs must be kept under close control at all times and on a lead where necessary or requested by the walk leader.
