What we’re about
Welcome to the world of Kizomba & Semba in Edinburgh. Kizomba is a dance that traces its roots from the late 1970s to early 80s in Angola but now it's a popular partner dance in Europe, Africa and beyond.
We are a group of passionate dancers keen to grow the Kizomba scene here in Edinburgh by providing a fun, intuitive and safe platform for people to learn the dance. There is a social available shortly after lessons so that you can put into practice what you've learnt and dance the night away. Music policy will be Kizomba, Ghetto Zouk, Tarraxinha and Semba (Konpa if you bribe the Dj with Kitkats 😏).
On your own? No problem! No dance partner or previous experience is required. And it goes without saying, all are welcome to this dancefloor.👩🦰👧🏾👨🏿👨🏼👭👬
We meet every Monday at the Mash House, 37 Guthrie St, Edinburgh, EH1 1JQ, offering classes for all levels:
1️⃣ 19:00 - 20:00: Beginners (where the magic happens)
2️⃣ 20:00 - 21:00 Intermediate (Say bye to the nest but we know you'll fly! 😀)
Can't wait to see you - Luigia & Juma
