Fringe Day Out !

Details

Hello all!

It's that time of year again so we're planning some fringe events!

The plans are as follows:

3.00pm - ARCADE

6pm - TARTAN TABLETOP

8.15pm - OFF WITH YOUR HEAD

10pm - JOHN ROBERTSON'S THE DARK ROOM

11.25pm - SLUTS WITH CONSOLES

Come along to any/all the shows you like! ☺️ Myself and Daniel have all shows booked!

We will try to find places to eat and/or drink in between Arcade & Tartan Tabletop as there is some time between these two shows.

We cannot guarantee any seating between shows, we'll just have to hope there's space somewhere/anywhere on a busy Saturday during August - probably outdoors where there's food/drink stalls!

Here's the links and a brief description of the shows:

DARKFIELD presents ARCADE: an interactive narrative that uses the nostalgic aesthetic of 1980's video games to explore the evolving relationship between players and avatars. Over 30 minutes in a completely dark shipping container, this choose-your-own-path experience will fully immerse the players using 360-degree binaural sound, sensory effects and a bespoke DARKFIELD ARCADE machine for each player. Players will be asked existential questions about free will and consciousness in a world where some may win and some may lose...

The audience is trapped in a retro video game with a sadistic, end-of-level boss. Escape and win £1000 or be brutally murdered by the rest of the crowd! Will you: A) Find the light switch? B) Go north? C) Abandon hope? New deathtraps for 2025!

Is that a joystick in your pocket or are you pleased to see us? Armed with plasmids, melee weapons and enough energy drinks to kill a small dog, Player One and Player Two are on a mission to uncover the truth about women in the gaming industry. Join them for an anarchic, high energy, dark comedy created to heal the edgy teenage not-like-other-girls girl inside us all. This is a show about video games, the women that love them and the community we wish would love us back.
