About this Event
Our first event for 2020 will focus on promoting your brand online.

The format is informal and provides an ideal opportunity for members of the group to meet each other, learn about marketing, advertising and networking.

We have guest speakers who are experts in their industries. They will mainly talk about their "joys" and "sorrows" in marketing and advertising in their industries.

Event attendees will be treated to a great talk.

Our speaker is Kathryn Strachan, Managing Director & Head of Copy at Copy House Copywriting.

About the Event and our Speaker:

Managing Director & Head of Copy, Kathryn Strachan will discuss how content marketing can be used to boost brand awareness. Having worked with many new or emerging companies, Kathryn will provide advice on building an audience, establishing yourself as a thought-leader and distributing your content.

After completing an MA in Modern Literature at the University College of London, Kathryn Strachan embarked on a copywriting career in digital agencies. She started my career at SEO & digital agencies before striking out on her own as a freelance business.

Her freelance business quickly evolved into content marketing agency Copy House. Copy House specialises in SEO and long-form content for financial, legal service and technology companies. Her team has worked with well-known brands like Travelex, Anderson Strathern, Money Dashboard, and LendFlo.

By train: From Haymarket Station, turn right when exiting the station and walk towards Princes Street, along West Maitland Street. The second street on the left is Palmerston Place – it is just beyond the Cathedral.

By bus: Lothian Buses Nos 3, 4, 12, 25, 26, 31, 33, 44, 48 as well as the Airlink Bus from Edinburgh Airport all stop at Haymarket/West Maitland Street. (Check with www.lothianbuses.com for maps & timetables)
