WHERE AND WHEN
Our April 2025 meetup will start at 18:30 on Wednesday, 23 April, at Codebase in Edinburgh. Feel free to arrive from 18:15.

WHO IT'S FOR
Per the description of the group, this session is for people who are interested in people, team, leadership and organizational development and who wants to be share their interest with others.

Typically attendees are leaders or managers, working in Learning and Development, are consultants, students, psychologists, coaches or are personally interest in helping people develop and improving workplaces.

SESSION TOPIC AND STRUCTURE
This interactive session is being led by Julia E. Knight (of DEJA People) and has been designed to help participants experience and learn about tools and techniques from the world of improv.

These tools are super useful in the workplace and our wider lives, not just on the stage.

The session will offer the opportunity for group members to connect with each other, as well as to learn new skills and approaches that can inform their practice.

There will be some psychological theory in addition to practical exercises, plus time for reflection at the end.

In the session Julia will help you to:

• Explore the use of improv tools and techniques to improve connection, positivity and creativity,
• To practise and play with new skills in a fun, non-work setting, and
• To reflect on how to apply your own experiences

We'll also make sure there is time for some networking and connection with other attendees, which is a key part of what we do. These meetups really are about community.

As before, there is an open invitation to head to the pub for a chat after the session too.

One last shout out - Comfortable clothes and shoes advised. There will be light physical activity and movement, although individual mobility needs can easily be accommodated :)
