**WHERE AND WHEN**
Our May 2025 meetup will start at 18:30 on Thursday, 15 May, at Codebase in Edinburgh. Feel free to arrive from 18:15.

**WHO IT'S FOR**
Per the description of the group, this session is for people who are interested in people, team, leadership and organizational development and who want to be share their interest with others.

Typically, attendees are leaders or managers, work in Learning and Development, are consultants, students, psychologists, coaches or are personally interest in helping people develop and improving workplaces.

**SESSION TOPIC AND STRUCTURE**
James and Tobi are going to lead this lively, hands-on session designed to help you get more comfortable talking about views that challenge your own.

In today’s world—and especially at work—we often bump up against opinions that don’t match ours. These moments can feel awkward or tense, so we often avoid them or fall into unproductive back-and-forths where we learn little, feel uncomfortable and potentially damage our relationships and emotions.

Unfortunately, when we skip these more challenging conversations, we miss out on insight, innovation, deeper connection and personal growth.

This workshop is a chance to flip that script. We’ll explore what it’s like to have conversations that stretch our thinking—and learn practical tools to handle them with more curiosity, skill, and ease.

As always, you’ll connect with others in the group, share ideas, and walk away with approaches you can apply in your work. We’ll also leave space for relaxed networking and connection—because these sessions are as much about community as they are about learning.

As before, there is an open invitation to head to the pub for a chat after the session too.
