What we’re about
We are a rambling and social group which is open to all and you will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome and meet new friends.
Join us to enjoy some walks and get lots of fresh air, enjoy good company, see interesting places, wildlife, scenery and learn about local history.
ALL OF OUR WALKS CAN BE REACHED BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT - NONE OF OUR WALKS ARE CAR BASED.
We offer a range of walks to suit everyone in and around Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.
We normally stop to have a couple of breaks and lunch on our walks. Please ensure that you carry some water and something to eat. A pair of boots or stout walking shoes, plus a waterproof jacket are recommended.
We have the occasional social event in a cafe, bar or restaurant.
NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON ANY OF OUR WALKS.
LITTER IS EVERYWHERE IN SCOTLAND. PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR LITTER HOME WITH YOU.
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION: Membership costs five pounds (£5.00) per year and can be paid on the next walk you attend. Membership runs from January to December. Cash payment only.
A RECOGNISABLE FACE PHOTOGRAPH IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION OF MEMBERSHIP.
Participation on any walk is entirely at your own risk. We have no public liability insurance. If you put your name down for a walk and subsequently change your mind please alter your RSVP as this will allow someone on the waiting list to go on the walk.
