Edinburgh UX - BBQ in the countryside

Details

Just when you thought UX Edinburgh couldn’t get any cooler, we’re bringing you a technically still-summer BBQ picnic in one of the cutest country towns going, a wee place called Biggar. 😎 🌞

This friendly social event is a chance to meet fellow UX’ers, have a banter and a laugh, and try your hand at Boule, Croquet, Quoits, Hula Hooping, Badminton and/or Kite Flying. 🪁

Partners, Kids, and dogs are warmly welcomed. There will be 1 large friendly dog present.

Date:
Sun 17th September, 11:30am - 6pm
(arrive and leave when it suits you between these times)

Please bring:
If you’ve got a picnic rug please bring it along. It’d be brilliant if you could also bring a dish to share (eg salad or snack), or something to throw on the BBQ. 😊

Wet weather:
In case of wet weather, we’ll move the event indoors where there’s a good amount of space for chats, chilling, and board games. 🎲

Location:
Biggar, at the home of one of our members (Lauren Fraser). 🏡
The exact address will be provided to attendees a couple of weeks before the event.

Getting there:
Driving - It takes 45 mins to drive from Edinburgh to Biggar, and 1hr from Glasgow to Biggar. There is street parking available. 🚗

Bus / Train - There is a bus directly from Princes St (Edinburgh) to Biggar which stops across the road from the location. It takes 1hr 20mins. If coming from Glasgow, you can catch the train to Lanark and get a bus on to Biggar from there. 🚎 🚝

We hope to see you there! 😃
