Talk 1: Pitching your design system
Making a case for a design system in a large organisation isn’t straightforward. Having made several attempts at launching a design system, I wanted to share how to launch a design system. And what it took to get there.

Talk 2: The Scottish Government Design System – reflections and next steps
Product manager Jennifer I’Anson and Lead Graphic Designer Kevin Allen reflect on the creation of the Scottish Government Design System. They will discuss the challenges of launching and growing the Design System, how the design system is being used and the future plans for the product.

About the speakers
Paul is a Digital Designer with over 14 years of experience. He has a multidisciplinary background covering digital, branding and motion. Paul has a keen interest in inclusive design and design systems.

Jennifer is Lead Product Manager within the Digital Directorate of the Scottish Government, responsible for mygov.scot and gov.scot. She is also Product Owner of the Scottish Government’s Design System from its inception.

Kevin is Lead Graphic Designer in the Design Service team at Scottish Government. He is an advocate for UCD principles being at the heart of public sector design projects.
