UX Edinburgh meetup

For our first meetup on 2025 we are excited to introduce a new host to UX Edinburgh - this month Addepar have kindly offered to welcome us to their Quartermile office for a fireside chat around the theme of how we can maximise our seat at the table.

Expect lively discussion on securing buy-in, dealing with complexity, designing for impact, driving change and more - with plenty of opportunity for audience participation.

About the panelists

Simon Hagan is a Product Design Manager at Addepar with nearly 20 years experience putting users at the heart of enterprise products. An advocate for design thinking, his experience spans small scale startups to huge multinationals. Simon is currently based in Belfast, NI.

Gregor Matheson. With over 15 years experience, Gregor brings in-depth knowledge of design, user experience, strategy and design leadership to help build operationally-excellent organisations that are adored by customers, envied by competitors, revered by the industry and advocated by employees. Currently, he is one of the design leaders at Remote, where they are on a mission to make it simple to hire, manage and pay anyone, anywhere.

Katie Mentus is a design leader with nearly 20 years of experience in design, marketing, and technology. Katie is the VP of User Experience and Design at Addepar, where she oversees the research and design of Addepar products and supporting client experiences.

Cassandra Tang is a full-stack designer with experience in startups, agencies, and unicorn companies. She focuses on distilling complexity to its essence—whether through discovery or designing scalable systems. As a Senior Product Designer at Remote, she leads design efforts to create seamless user experiences and strong product foundations for employers and employees.
