Musselburgh Coastal Walk - Harbour to Lagoons circular

Lovely coastal walk with great views. From Fisherrow harbour along the beach, cross the bridge, then follow the coastal walk to the boating pond. We'll take a break here and pop by a bird hide at the older lagoons if folk are interested. We will head back and pass by the newer lagoons and pop by a bird hide if there's enough wildlife. We'll head back along the path and promenade returning to Fisherrow Harbour. We will be retracing some steps/paths but there is completely different views each way, looking towards North Berwick initially and then views to Edinburgh/ Arthur's seat on the way back.

Meeting point: Fisherrow Harbour House, Musselburgh
Meeting Time: 2:00 pm

There is a toilet block at the harbour, please arrive earlier if you wish to use before we head off at 2pm.

Transport: If coming from central Edinburgh take the 113, 124 or 44 bus ( the 26 bus is slower as it goes via Portobello). The carpark at the harbour is free.

Terrain: Mixture of beach, gravel, path. Wear appropriate walking shoes.

Distance: ~ 9 km
Duration: ~ 2.5 hours including breaks

Only well behaved dogs ( maximum of 2), so please comment if you are bringing your dog. Dogs will need to be on leads at the lagoons and bird hides.

I'll bring my binoculars with me if anyone wants to use them.
