Pentlands walk

Let's meet at Currie library library for the start of the walk, we will follow a planned route. This is mostly a flattish walk apart from going over harbour hill. You should though have a good level of fitness to cover the approximate 12 mile route.

You must have your name and a photo of yourself to attend this walk. If you do not, then you will be moved to the "not going list." You should also only sign up for the walk if you are actually going to attend.

Meet at the bus stop opposite Currie library/ the Riccarton Inn for 10:00 the bus is due to arrive at 9:51. The 44 can often run late so the walk will start when this bus arrives.

We will stop for a lunch break around 12:30, possibly at one of the reservoirs of which we will pass five in total. The walk will end at Cockburn Crescent in Balerno where we will get the 44 back into town.

I have allowed 5.5 hours for the walk, but it may not take this long as it depends on the walking pace of the group on the day.

Bring a packed lunch and water, and dress appropriately for the conditions on the day.
