SAMHAIN

Details
We invite you to join us for the turning of the wheel and the start of the New Year.
Samhain is the moment when the gods grave becomes the womb, when he is no longer dead, but gestating. We no longer mourn his harvest death but anticipate his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess still holds him in the Earth that is her body, and though her body is chilled with winter, the spark that is his life promises restoration to her as well. It is the transformation from death to life that we celebrate.
On this night we seek the Summerlands and to commune with our beloved dead. At Samhain, when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, the spirits of the departed gather around us once more. On All Hallow’s there is sorrow, but there is also joy. Sorrow in death, but joy in reunion, no matter how brief. To touch those who have gone before we must eat of the fruit that lies between the realms.
Please arrive between 8.30pm to start at 9pm.
If we are blessed with the elements, the location will be Monks Cave.
You will need to bring:
A chalice
Offering for ancestors
Drinks/nibbles
A white candle
Photograph of a loved and lost one (can include pets)
Hope to see you there but otherwise have a Blessed Samhain.
