Edinburgh writing poetry group

Are you looking to write more poetry but need encouragement?

We are a welcoming group of writers who mostly focus on poetry, sometimes short stories. We meet once a month for 1.5-2 hours and the session is often structured as below:
- sharing writing homework from the month before
- writing together using a prompt and sharing our work (around 2-4 per session. Each prompt lasts 5-10 min).
- discussing homework (what piece we’ll work on writing for the month)

For the first session we will do introductions and will each share one of our favourite poems.
