An easy ride to Newhailes

Details
Join Barbara and Stella
for a slightly longer, but relaxed ride to Newhailes. Good for beginners or women returning to cycling after a break or anyone who feels they aren't fit enough for longer/faster/more challenging rides.
Starting at the Commonwealth Pool, we will take the Innocent Railway path to the Range, skirting round to bypass Brunstane Station, we take a quiet road and shared paths out through Newcraighall, and the grounds of QMU, until we get to Newhailes.
We'll pause here for a break, sitting outside giving the option for people to bring their own snacks/drinks, or purchase from the cafe.
Our return takes us out of Newhailes on to the Brunstane path along to Portobello. Taking our time along the prom, we'll come out on quiet route 10 towards Leith, before switching to the Restalrig cycle path to Lochend Park. A short road section sees us into Sunnybank Terrace, where we take a cut through to Holyrood park, with a final hill climb up Holyrood drive taking us back to our start point.

What to Bring:
• Two spare inner tubes (right size for your tyres) and tools to remove your wheels if they are not quick-release and/or a means of getting home if needed e.g. friend/taxi.
