AN INVITATION - Come to our End of Summer Ride and Get Together Picnic!

As summer ends, the Belles rides leaders and back markers (Barbara, Stella, Emma, Jo and Joan - apologies from Rebs) invite
you to join them in an End of the Summer Ride and Get Together Picnic.

We will meet and ride from the Meadows, onwards to the Grange, Braidburn Valley Park, over to Oxgangs, Dreghorn, Juniper Green and back by the Water of Leith through the Colinton Tunnel and to our destination of the wonderful Saughton Park where we will gather together with our picnic lunches. Bring your own lunch but we will provide some delicious treats (some home baked even) and there is scope to buy food and hot drinks from the cafe. We will guide back to the start or any point to make sure everyone knows their route home. It’s not a difficult ride of approximately 12 miles and we will disperse by 2pm.

The Get Together will give us the chance to reveal our rides for the autumn and hear from you, the Belles riders, what you want from our rides and how we can continue this friendly wee group. It gives a chance for us to say thank you to those who have supported us this year. And because 5 of us will be there to help guide the ride there is no limit on numbers - all are welcome.

To those who have not been on one of our rides please come along and give us a try. Belles is all about helping women gain confidence in the saddle, showing different routes not just for leisure riding but for every day use and health. We love it when women who’ve just got their first bike or are coming back to cycling come on our rides for we love to support and share how to enjoy cycling. No one gets left behind.
