What is Humanism? - Panel discussion
Details
This meeting is a chance to explore what humanism is:
- What are the concepts behind it?
- How does it relate to the way we see the world and the way we act within it?
Participants will engage in small informal discussion groups and then put questions to our panel of three long-time humanists, speaking from the perspectives of their various roles and experiences.
So:
- if you’re curious to know more about humanism,
- if you’re interested in sharing your thoughts, ideas and experiences with others,
then join us for this month’s meeting by signing up on the Edinburgh Humanists’ Meetup Group.
Anyone who wants to find out a bit more about humanism before the meeting can visit this Humanist Society Scotland web page: https://www.humanism.scot/get-involved/what-is-humanism/
And if you think you might already hold some humanist views or beliefs, you can try this little quiz to find out: https://www.humanism.scot/are-you-a-humanist/
The meeting will be chaired by Chris Doye.
