Anna Chworow is Deputy Director at Nourish Scotland - an organisation working for a fair, healthy and sustainable food system that truly values nature and people.
In 2022 the Scottish Government passed a Good Food Nation Act - a key piece of legislation for transforming our food system. But what exactly is a food system and how can we affect change within it?
Our current food system produces enough food to feed everyone - but it does so at a huge environmental cost while leaving many of us malnourished. This talk will look at the key issues we need to address in relation to climate, health and human rights. It will focus on how the Good Food Nation Act can help us to achieve the food future that we need and the innovative, hopeful work already taking place across Scotland.
The meeting will be chaired by Cathy Crawford.
