Norman Hansen - Quantum Entanglement: How does exotic science apply to us ?
Details
Quantum Entanglement : How does exotic science apply to us and how do we know it applies to reality?
We see reports of new discoveries all the time. Two years ago three of the scientists who demonstrated that quantum entanglement is a real phenomenon and is weirder than we thought, received the Nobel Prize for Physics. More recently there was a claim that quantum entanglement could give traders an edge on the making trades on the stock market. We will try to learn a little about something that affects every aspect of our daily life.
Norman has read Quantum Mechanics for Babies and done a couple of physics degrees. He has worked in the application of scientific method to business analysis. He is not an expert in Quantum Mechanics but possibly will bring some sympathy for those whose physics education finished with lowers.
The meeting will be chaired by Cathy Crawford.
Please note that this is an online only meeting via Zoom. Once you RSVP, you will be provided with the link to the meeting. Just click on this link when it is time to join the meeting. You can also join the meeting using a Zoom account and the following details:
