Edinburgh Group Organisation and Discussion of a Humanist response to Trump.
All organisations periodically need to consider their role and future. With recent changes to the organising group, this is a good opportunity to consider various issues. These include the following:
- Changes in the organising group - the need for more people and a permanent chair.
- Might there be value in joining with other local groups to make a South East Scotland group?
- Topics for future meetings
- Type of meetings. Is the model of a Zoom meeting followed by a pub night suitable?
- Do we need to change the days in order to fit in with other organisations such as the Skeptics?
- What special events should be organised (such as World Humanism Day, Burns Supper etc)?
After this discussion, we will have an opportunity for members to consider the following question
- What could/should the Humanist Community do about Trump?
The meeting will be chaired by Jim Chalmers.
Please note that this is an online only meeting via Zoom. Once you RSVP, you will be provided with the link to the meeting. Just click on this link when it is time to join the meeting. You can also join the meeting using a Zoom account and the following details:
