Polly Toynbee – at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Details

Our friends at Humanists UK present another instalment in its ‘Conversations with the Godless’ series, featuring a discussion between chief executive Andrew Copson and the influential journalist and broadcaster Polly Toynbee.

Please note that clicking attend with Meetup merely lets the organisers know of your intention to attend to gain admission you must purchase a ticket through the venue (see below for a link and the special offer) or the Fringe app.

For decades, Toynbee’s columns in The Guardian have been instrumental in shaping progressive discourse, and this conversation will focus on the critical areas of secular politics, social inequality, and the future of public services. From campaigning against the proliferation of religious state schools, to the legalisation of assisted dying, it’s guaranteed to address hard hitting the hard questions of our times.

Come along, enjoy the show, and then meet with local group members and Humanist Society Scotland Community Engagement Manager, Lara Celini for a post-show blether.

And as a special incentive, we have a 50% off discount code with the code: HUMANISTS50
This discount is limited to 30 tickets for each show, when booked through the Stand Comedy Club website: https://www.thestand.co.uk/fringe/2579/conversations-with-the-godless-polly-toynbee
