October Meetup - Speedy builds using service virtualization

Details
Welcome to EdinburghJS October Meetup.
We'll be meeting at the Bayes Center at the University of Edinburgh, 18:30 (note the slightly changed start time!) for drinks & pizza, a 19:00 start for the talks.
Our talks are geared towards introducing members of our community, to facilitate networking, mentorship, learning and collaboration. People with all levels of technical expertise are welcome.
This month Paul Hammant will be talking about "Speedy builds using service virtulisation":
Service virtualization allows frontend developers to set up easy "test doubles" for their restful dependencies. Over the years there have been many technologies for this. Paul goes into those and a multi-language attempt at a new standard called Servirtium - that rests on pretty record and playback of HTTP services. The talk features a live demo of a JavaScript & TypeScript usage of Servirtium, showing terse elegant code.
We will also have two "community intros" from Kelly Jones and Israel Quintanilla - a good opportunity to find out more about JavaScript developers in our area.
We will be live-streaming the talks on YouTube. The link will be available here and on our website
If you will have financial difficulty in paying for transport to the event then please do let us know, as we have a diversity and hardship fund.
