Transmission Meditation is a simple group meditation providing both a dynamic service to the world and powerful personal spiritual development.

Transmission Meditation is a group service activity, in conscious co-operation with the Masters of Wisdom, for the creation of a pool of higher energy for the benefit of humanity and the planet. This is the energy that is bringing about the transformation of our world along more peaceful, just and harmonious lines.

It is a combination of two yogas: Karma Yoga (yoga of service) and Laya Yoga (yoga of energies or chakras). It is highly scientific, safe, non-denominational and extremely potent. It will not interfere with, but will actually enhance any other spiritual practice and/or service activity in which you may be engaged.

As a result of Transmission Meditation, many people find they can experience and demonstrate love more easily. Others report that their mind is more stimulated and creative. Some people receive healing, spontaneously, during the transmissions.

Introduced into the world in 1974 by artist and author Benjamin Creme, there are now hundreds of Transmission Meditation groups active in many countries around the world.

Each workshop reveals the aims, technique, and results of Transmission Meditation and participants will also take part in a group meditation session. The event is freely organised by volunteers with the Edinburgh Transmission Meditation Group.

The Three Spiritual Festivals / Spring Full Moon Festivals 2025

The time of the full moon is an especially important time for the reception and distribution of spiritual energy. This is particularly so during Springtime.

There are three major spiritual celebrations that occur every Spring and relate to the full moon period: The Three Spiritual Festivals or the Spring Full Moon Festivals.

These three festivals will gain more and more significance in the life of humanity, as we enter more fully into the new age of Aquarius, and will become of major importance and celebrated worldwide in the near future.

Many Transmission Meditation Groups around the world, meet for 12-hour or 24-hour extended meditations (now also linked internationally via zoom), in order to create a more potent global network of light, and are linked together by an aspiration to serve the needs of the world.

At the time of the Spring Full Moons the spiritual energies are at their most powerful, due to the sun-moon-earth alignment and the potency of these ancient festivals, which provide a unique opportunity for spiritual service.

Spring Full Moon Festivals 2025

1. Easter Festival (full moon in Aries): Saturday 19 April - Sunday 20 April
2. Wesak Festival (full moon in Taurus): Saturday 10 May - Sunday 11 May
3. Goodwill or Christ Festival or Festival of Humanity (full moon in Gemini): Saturday 14 June - Sunday 15 June

The Wesak Festival – Taurus Full Moon
Saturday 10 May – 12 noon + 3 pm
Sunday 11 May – 12 noon

The great eastern festival, which commemorates the enlightenment of the Buddha, expresses the keynotes of wisdom and divine purpose, and occurs at the time of the full moon in Taurus. Wesak marks the high-point in the spiritual year, for it is said that at this time each year, the Buddha returns to the physical plane for a brief moment, bringing an inflow of life and spiritual stimulation to vitalize all of humanity. Pilgrims gather every year in a remote valley in the Himalayas to re-enact an ancient sacred ceremony based on the legend of Wesak, which has to do with the sharing of the waters of life.
