We are pleased to host a Meetup that will explore AI/ML business applications and as always we are striving to bring the Edmonton technical and business worlds together to spark interactions and innovation.
Our next event will be virtual on the Remo platform (thanks to Startup Edmonton) on April 7th at 6:30 pm MST.
Signup here at Meetup.com to get event reminders and we will send out sign-in instructions for the event closer to the date.
Our speakers will be:
Steven Zhang, Co-Founder at Trex-Ai
Enabling an AI Powered Energy Future
Innovation within the electric power system environment is deficient due to the lack of flexible, scalable, data driven development and verification tools. TREX-Ai has a suite of tools that addresses this problem and enables AI focused automation solutions to be developed and tested through emulation. TREX-Ai is currently working on enhancing energy resource coordination through multi-agent deep reinforcement learning.
Also attending will be Steven's co-founders Daniel May and Peter Atrazhev.
and
Chris Chalcraft, Solutions Architect at Databricks
End to end data science lifecycle on the Databricks platform
Collaboration and end to end data science can be difficult and often lead to people working in fragmented teams with little visibility on what other people are working on. This can lead to rework, data quality and mismatch issues, and poor feedback loop from product owner/end users. I will walk through an end to end demo on Predicting Life Expectancy from Health Indicators which will highlight how multiple personas can use the Databricks platform to handle data engineering and data science tasks within the same collaborative notebook.
We look forward to see you on the April 7th!
