Experience Inner Peace Through the Work of Byron Katie

Details

This is a rescheduled event. If you can't make the new date of Thursday May 16th, that's fine. Please change your attendee status to free up a spot for someone else. I've moved the event to a meeting room at the Strathcona branch of the Edmonton Public Library. The space holds 10 people total.

The Work of Byron Katie is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause our suffering. Pain is inevitable, and how we react can transform it into suffering, or help us to find inner peace. The Work has been profoundly transformative in my life. I began as someone who was prone to depression (clinically depressed and on medication twice, suicidal thoughts, significant anxiety, etc.), disliked groups and people as a whole, with poor conflict skills and struggled with anger, procrastination and overwhelm. This tool has helped me to transform all areas of my life from my personal relationships to founding an international parenting movement (not bad for someone who didn't even like groups, eh?!). I'd love to help you to try this way to find peace with yourself and with the world. Anyone with an open mind can do the Work. Check out the founder's website at www.thework.com.)

We will start at 7 pm with an introduction to the Work. Then we'll dive in with a chance to experience it first hand.

I have rented a meeting space in the Strathcona branch of the Edmonton Public Library. This will allow us to have a private and convenient location. Donations are appreciated to help to cover costs.

Reach out if you have any questions!
