Experience Inner Peace Through the Work of Byron Katie

I'm excited to announce our 3rd event! I'm passionate about introducing others to tools that have helped me to transform my life. I began adulthood disliking groups (because I didn't trust or like people as a whole), with poor conflict skills, struggles with anger, procrastination and overwhelman, it's no surprise that I ended up battling clinical depression (which included going on medication twice and having suicidal thoughts) as well as significant anxiety. The tool I'm going to introduce in this session has helped me to transform all areas of my life from my personal relationships to founding an international parenting movement (not bad for someone who didn't even like groups, eh?!).

This event is for anyone who would like to find more inner peace with themselves and with the world. You are welcome to come without any prior experience of the Work of Byron Katie. If you want to check it out first, I'd recommend you read the following paragraph first!

You know how babies who are learning to walk need time to practice and experiment? For most of us, learning a new tool like this one is the same. What keeps people trying so that they don't get discouraged? A supportive group can be a game changer. I've found that when I send people straight to the founder's website to learn it on their own, they often get stuck and don't get to experience the transformation that's possible. We will start at 7 pm with an introduction to the Work. Then we'll dive in with a chance to experience it first hand.

To cover the costs of renting the meeting space, I am charging $2 a person. I'm happy to refund it if you can't make it. We will meet on the second floor of the Strathcona branch of the Edmonton Public Library.
