11:00am-12:15pm Session 2 - Marketplace: Strategies for building apps that are successful in popularity and/or financially.

01:15pm-02:30pm Session 3 - Data: Making use of data in Mango apps, specifically around local database support using SQL CE.

Speaker 1:
Jason Kaczor is a SharePoint MVP and an independent consultant specializing in SharePoint and .NET technologies; architecture, design, governance, operations, training as well as custom solutions & applications. He has been providing technical solutions to business problems for 20 years; covering nearly all industry sectors.
Formerly a Premier Field Engineer/Rapid Response Engineer for Microsoft Canada, he provided SharePoint and .NET expertise worldwide. While at Microsoft he was involved in several unique initiatives, including; Bad Guy Patrol and the Child Exploitation Tracking System (CETS). He has always been involved in user group and community-based initiatives, most recently a co-founder of the Calgary SharePoint User Group (CalSPUG). Jason has been a featured speaker at Microsoft TechDays 2011 (Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal), 2010 (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary) & 2009 (Calgary), Microsoft/DevTeach Improving Developer Productivity with SharePoint 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 (Calgary, Edmonton), SharePoint Summit 2010 (Montreal). Jason is available to speak to user groups across Canada; including Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
For fun he does the typical “old-school” geeky/nerdy activities and is trying to convince his kids that programming is “cool”.

Richard, since 1985, has been developing an expertise in the creation and/or use of application software that creates business value. He has performed in many roles such as: VP-Product Management, CIO, Application Architect, Project Manager, Technical Architect, System Analyst, Database Administrator, Data Analyst, Programmer, and Instructor.
Blending the characteristics of an entrepreneur, business analyst and a technical resource, Richard always begins his work by understanding business requirements, as well as the overall business environment. From this base of understanding, an analysis begins on how to best use/create/integrate technology into the business’s environment and works to resolve the nature of the business problem(s).
With his entrepreneurial nature, Richard comes with an extreme customer service attitude that always looks for common sense solutions that provides the business user with what they require, when they require it, within the appropriate security context.
Richard has provided his skills andr consulting services to large, medium and small business environments, always looking to streamline business process and gain efficiency.
His latest focus is on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud Computing (Azure), and the use of smartphones as an enabling device for Consumer empowerment.
