Passionate about science fiction? love Dune, Star Wars, Robotech, Asimov, Blade Runner, and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy? Us too! Lets be friends!
Our group will meet to go on sci-fi field trips, talk sci-fi, watch sci-fi, read sci-fi, if we could get us some good tauntaun steaks then we'd EAT sci-fi too! We might even throw in some comics or fantasy if you're into that sort of thing. Come out and play, we'd love to meet you!

A little info about the day-to-day business of the group:
There are no membership fees for this group. We try to keep things as low cost as possible but some events will require you to pay your own way (eg. Movies at theatres).

We strive to be inclusive and disability friendly. We welcome people of colour, folks from the LGBTQA+ community, people of all neurotypical, and of all ages (as long as minors have an accompanying adult). If you have specific needs you would like us to accommodate or if you have any concerns please let me know and I’ll happily do what I can.

We are all folks who like science fiction but that doesn't mean we are experts, or expect you to be. We welcome newbies to science fiction as well as pros.
We have members of all ages. I'm in my 40’s but we have older and younger nerds so don't worry, you'll fit right in.

We like building ties in the sci-fi/fantasy/pop culture community.  If you are a meetup organizer from another group who would like to do a joint event, or be involved in anything we're planning, send me an email and we'll work out the details.
If you have an idea for an event, send me an email. Please add  times/dates that would be convenient for you and I'll schedule them if there's enough interest or set you up as coordinator for the event so you can run it as you wish.
