Join us on the trip of a life time as we explore one of the most beautiful contries in the world. Uganda.

Come with us to visit the rare Mountain Gorillas. go on a safari,visit Koome Island, Chimp Island and enjoy the local culture and food and the warmth of the Ugandan people

This trip is espically exciting as we work directly with our fellow member of Edmonton Single Travelers-Kibirango H Mugambe who is living in Koome Island, Uganda.

Mugambe a friend of mine of 17 years is the CEO & President of Advanced Family Services Unit works on Koome Island helping young people.

As a Meetup group we have helped to raise money to buy 20 desks for their local school, bought barbed wire to fence in our incoming beehives. After which we will be buying $2500US worth of bees.

The bees will be managed local and profits go 100% back into the community to support Education of local children.

We are also working on building a kindergarten for the children also so they don't have to walk up to two hours each way to school every day.

We are super excited to see our then completed Kindergarten upon arriva In Koome Island.

Ugandan shilling is the offical currency while the US dollar is used as the currency of trade, commerce and tourism. You will need to use both currencies.

US currency is not accepted that was printed before 1976 and also scruffy and not in good shape US Currency will not be accepted.

Please talk to your Travel Clinic to determine which vaccinations are needed. To be allowed to enter Uganda you must have proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination.
