What we’re about
YEG Tarot Society is a welcoming community for anyone interested in learning, practicing, and exploring the Tarot. Whether you're brand new to Tarot or an experienced reader, we invite you to join us in connecting with the cards—and each other.
Tarot has a fascinating history that blends art, mysticism, and philosophy across centuries and cultures. Originally emerging in 15th-century Europe as a set of playing cards, Tarot gradually evolved into a tool for introspection and divination by the 18th century. Over time, it absorbed influences from Christian mysticism, Jewish Kabbalah, Islamic philosophy, Hermeticism, and other esoteric traditions—becoming the rich, symbolic system we know today. Tarot is a timeless tool for reflection, intuition, and insight. We aim to honor its rich history while embracing modern approaches to reading and interpretation.
We aim to meet regularly in an even mix of in-person and online formats. In-person gatherings offer face-to-face connection, themed discussions, and shared readings. During our online meetups, we will break into small groups using breakout rooms so everyone gets the chance to practice and learn in a more personal, hands-on way. In-person meetups are subject to securing appropriate space, but our goal is to offer consistent opportunities to connect face-to-face, share readings, and dive into themed discussions or activities.
Our sessions are designed to be engaging, inclusive, and interactive, with space for both learning and sharing. Whether you're reading Tarot for self-reflection, spiritual growth, or in service to others, you'll find a supportive group of like-minded people here.
YEG Tarot Society values creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all faiths, beliefs, and identities. If you’re curious about joining or have any questions, please feel free to reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
