About Overgrad
Overgrad is a technology that’s used by high school students and the people who support them. They are ensuring all students have a clear and supported path to future opportunities by educating them on what they need to do today in order to unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. Their technology is now used by over 1000 organizations from over 20 different countries.
About Ryan
Ryan Hoch is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he studied General Engineering. After graduating, Ryan worked as a high school math teacher with Teach For America at St. Louis Public Schools. After teaching for two years, Ryan was discouraged by the lack of transparency students were experiencing when trying to plan and prepare for college and careers, so he decided to do something about it. Ryan and his co-founder, Kevin Hoffman, quit their jobs in early 2013 to build Overgrad and have been working on it ever since. Ryan wears a lot of hats at Overgrad, helping with development of the product, school and district sales, fundraising, and general business development. As a lifelong Cubs fan, he now lives by the motto "if the Cubs can do it, so can you."
