The Washington DC EdTech DMV (DC, Maryland Virginia) Meetup is featuring the local education technology entrepreneur Marc Steren to learn more about University Startups, a Gaithersburg, Maryland company that assists students interested in entrepreneurship with job and college readiness. The startup partners with nonprofits, school districts, and community colleges to help high school and college students learn startup skills, identify and prepare for job opportunities, and complete college counseling. It also offers a mentorship program for community college pupils. Founded in 2020, it was selected for the first DC cohort of the Techstars accelerator and has raised $1.1 million in total seed funding.
