What makes an edtech app effective for teachers and learners?
Details
Join a session on how research into language learning can inform product design, led by English Teacher and Teacher Trainer, Myles Klynhout.
The path to learning a new language is not exactly the same for everyone. Any language learning app must offer adaptability, validity and purpose. That is to say, does it facilitate learning? And how do you measure this?
This meetup will bring a linguistic perspective to Edtech design. Together we will discuss, assess and get hands on with one of the most popular language learning products ‘Duolingo’.
The meetup is for edtech providers, teachers, trainers and others working in this field. Participants will walk away with a number of lessons learnt that can be applied to a wide range of edtech services.
Myles Klynhout is a member of Serveis Lingüístics de Barcelona, a cooperative of teacher trainers, translators and materials writers who help Edtech providers and publishers create research-based content for learning languages.
