How big data can help children, students or any “learner” having a better learning experience that takes into account their own cognitive specificities ? How big data can help teachers running their classes more efficiently ? Here is the ambition of adaptative learning which raises many hopes but also many challenges for the coming years.
In the education technology sector, adaptive learning seems to be one of the next big revolutions. For now, everybody talks about it, but very few people know exactly how to seize and implement these new opportunities under big data and education.
For our 5th Open Class we will have the chance to welcome Benoit Praly & Ivan Ostrowicz, co-founders @ Domoscio, a French Edtech startup specialized in Big Data for learning. Domoscio combines cognitive sciences with Big Data to propose adaptive learning solutions. Their goal is to optimize the assimilation and consolidation of knowledge to improve learning outcomes.
In 2015, Domoscio was the winner of the Continental Europe Global EdTech Startups Awards (http://globaledtechawards.org/?p=4730)and rewarded by the European Commission as one of the 7 startups of the most innovative in education and training. They also raised 250K€ and started their expansion in Spain and UK.
This Open Class is the perfect opportunity to meet with this great team to discover their solutions and discuss about big data and learning outcomes !
This Open Class will be followed by a Q&A session and a convivial moment for discussion and networking.
