  • Student Startup Crawl- Volunteers Needed

    Capital Factory

Date of Event: Febuary 24, 2020.

What is The Student Startup Crawl?
The Student Startup Crawl is an experiential field trip for middle and high school students to help them visualize their futures and introduce them to what careers are available in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Our goal is to inspire students from under served schools Students will have the unique opportunity to explore tech companies during working hours where they will meet people who work in the Tech space empowering them for what to look forward in the future. During each stop on the crawl, students will have a chance to discover a variety of roles and backgrounds from diverse speakers who will share their educational and career pathways that led them to pursue careers in tech and STEM.

What will I do? Our goal during the students time with you is for them to learn all about the inner workings of your tech company and what it takes to be part of the STEM spaces in Austin. There are many ways to do this. In previous years some companies have given tours. Others have hosted hands-on sessions or panels. You will host 4 groups for about 30 minutes each during the listed time frame. Last year we had over 330 students participate from all around the Austin Area! How cool is that? Photos from Event

How long is the time commitment? 11:00 pm - 2:30 p.m.- We will send a final schedule closer to the time

What if we can participate? If you can’t commit this year to host our students, but want to help, we would love donation for funding of buses or swag for the students.

We hope to look forward to your partnership and sponsorship of this amazing event.
