State of NYC CS Education Opportunities for Educators and Volunteers!

Details
Hi everyone,
The first blizzard of the season is here and I know it's not going to slow anyone down. We actually had our highest attendance ever at our last February meetup on the day of the snowpocalypse... so let's keep it up!
We are very excited to announce the first evening meetup of the spring semester. A common thread I've noticed in the past few months is the need for awareness-building. I've spoken to many educators who'd like to implement more CS curriculum but don't know what is available; I've also spoken to many technologists and CS education enthusiasts who want to help but don't know where to go. We hope to address that.
On February 10th, we will gather a large group of CS education non-profits and programs to come talk to you about what is on offer. If you are a teacher / administrator, you will learn which programs are a good fit for your students and what is needed to apply. If you are a professional working in industry, you will learn about the myriad opportunities to become a technical or logistical volunteer, because we cannot do it alone!
Some groups that will be present are (but not limited to):
- All Star Code ( http://www.allstarcode.org/ )
- Black Girls Code ( http://www.blackgirlscode.com/ )
- Bootstrap ( http://www.bootstrapworld.org/ )
- Camp Interactive ( http://campinteractive.org/ )
- Coalition for Queens ( http://www.c4q.nyc/ )
- CSTUY ( https://cstuy.org/ )
- Girls Who Code ( http://girlswhocode.com/ )

Please bring your fellow teachers / volunteers. It's going to be a great evening. We will be giving out $150 DonorsChoose.org cards to all teachers who are new to our meetups (that includes you, volunteers!) and if you bring a teacher who's new, you'll also get a card. We look forward to seeing everyone there and answering all of your questions. Let's make some matches :)
