Automated Monitoring with Steven from DataLoop.io
Details
Monitoring the health of a web service takes up a huge chunk of time. With the advent of infrastructure as code and the rise of Puppet / Chef / Ansible we've seen huge leaps forward with reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks like building environments. Usually monitoring lags behind deployments and coverage varies wildly. This is a talk about some approaches I've tried that can help make the computers do more of the leg work. Also a quick bit of fantasy about what future systems might do.
