Toastmasters International is a North American non-profit organization with more than 330,000 members and present in more than 130 countries, dedicated to helping people develop their Leadership and Public Speaking skills since 1924.

Our meetings are a safe ecosystem, where you can practice and make mistakes without being ashamed, because everyone is there to learn together. Each meeting is divided into 3 parts.

  1. Prepared speeches: Three members deliver prepared speeches lasting between 5 and 7 min each one.

  2. Impromptu speeches: One member prepares some surprise topics and the others members and guests volunteer themselves to make impromptu speeches lasting between 1 and 2 min each one.

  3. Evaluations: Three members evaluate the speeches of the first part of the meeting (one evaluator for each speech) and four others members evaluate some extra points: ah-counter, grammar, time keeper and general evaluation of the meeting.

If you are interested in learning more about Toastmasters, you can attend the meetings as a guest as often as you like. In Campinas, our meetings are always in English and take place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Castelo Creative Space.

NOTE: During the quarantine, we’re conducting our meetings by video conference.
