EFF-Austin is proud to present a moderated conversation with Austin City Council Candidates around tech policy. As technology increasingly shapes and transforms our world, smart and sensible policy around technology regulation is more important than ever. Hear in the candidates' own words what they think the city's role is in setting policy around ALPRs, Data Centers, autonomous vehicles, drones, agentic AI, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and more.

Confirmed participants include Neha Shah, Katie Kam, Rich Heyman, Jeffery Bowen, Selena Xie, Michael Nahas, Misael Ramos, David Weinberg, and Ben Leffler attending on behalf of Council Member Ryan Alter, with potential additional candidates confirmed shortly.

Come join us Sunday, October 11th, from 1pm-3pm at Cherrywood Coffeehouse. Panel will take place inside in the side annex room. In addition to the conversation, a limited number of free drinks will be available on a first come, first serve basis for event attendees.
