"Freedom" will be the theme of the program this Sunday, with Drew Womack as both speaker and musician. Drew is a lifelong singer and songwriter. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas and then left at the age of 20 and traveled throughout the US and Canada, playing guitar and singing "wherever it was fun".

He settled down somewhat after he met his wife Carla and began a family. They lived in Idyllwild, California prior to moving to Hawaii in 1999.

Drew discovered New Thought Center of Hawaii soon after his arrival, and has been part of the "music ministry" intermittently since that time. His musical style is unique. It sounds kind of like country western, but with upbeat lyrics. He has made several trips to Nashville, Tennessee, to enjoy the musical scene and make recordings. He is also a master of the Hawaiian slack key, playing his own style since 1969.

Most recently he has been exploring the music and culture of New Zealand. The pandemic put a hold on his travels temporarily, but he was able to return to New Zealand for an extended visit earlier this year. He and his wife live in South Kona in an old church which he renovated and converted to a home. He enjoys spending time with his two grown children, Kiara and Cheyenne, who also reside on the Big Island.

Reservations or replies to MeetUp are not necessary; please come as you are.

NTC Sunday includes light meditation; an opportunity for folks to share "Miracles and Ordinaries": things that have been positive forces in their lives recently; as well as to hear interesting and enlightening speakers; and good music. We pass an offering bowl made of local koa wood; however, there is NO requirement to offer monetary gifts...A peace offering or prayer will suffice.

Also offered through virtual viewing, but join us for live event and meet new friends!
