Introduction & Personal Updates

We start each meeting by going around the table and giving updates about EA-related events in our personal lives, followed by plans until the next meetup. The idea is to share activities the group might be interested in and encourage each other.

Effective Altruism and Politics

During this meeting we will discuss EA and politics. The goal of this meetup will be to explore oppurtunities for EA in politics and vice versa, i.e.: what are the potential utilities politics have to offer in order to create a better world? Or rather, what are the expected utilities? What kind of implications will this have for policy? How about careercapital in politics? What causes are interesting in relation to EA and politics? Further, we can discuss how to raise awareness of EA and it's relevance in the political realm and how to amass political influence as effective altruists.

Practical

We'll continue to meet in the afternoon at Film Café Oscar since it seems to be quiet and convenient. If you have trouble finding us you can reach Devin at 06-5025-4214.
