Effective Altruism Cleveland Virtual February Meeting

Join the Effective Altruism Cleveland Meetup Group on Wednesday February 26th from 6:30-7:30 pm for our February meeting. We will be discussing "The Life You Can Save" by Peter Singer, a seminal book in the Effective Altruism community. In this meeting, we will focus on the first two chapters: "Saving a Child" and "Is It Wrong Not to Help?" You can easily find the book and audiobook in your local library, for instance: https://clevnet.overdrive.com/clevnet-chuh/content/media/5167389 . The first couple of chapters are only ~20 pages, but if you can't find the time to get to these two chapters, no problem! We will be doing a quick overview of this section before discussion. We will also introduce new members, so all are welcome! The open discussion will help you connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and start on the EA journey to ensure your contributions have the greatest possible impact.
