Mirror Bacteria

This month we'll be talking about the risks of mirror bacteria.

All life is made of "right-handed" nucleotides and "left-handed" amino acids. Scientists have proposed the possibility of alternative life that can flip the handedness, essential mirror image biology. The risk comes from creating bacteria that evade any natural defense systems in plants and animals that depend on the "handness" property.
