A chaque année, plus de 70 milliards d'animaux sont abattus pour la consommation humaine, et un nombre comparable de poissons. La grande majorité relèvent de l'élevage industriel ou intensif, qui pose des défis au niveau de la souffrance animale, des impacts environnementaux et de la santé humaine.

Joignez-vous à nous pour une discussion sur l'élevage industriel des animaux. Devrait-on le banir? Quelle devrait être notre relation avec les animaux non-humains, et quels droits devrait-on leur conférer?

NB: Ce meetup sera bilingue, donc les participant.e.s pourront s'exprimer dans la langue de leur choix (français ou anglais).

Every year, over 70 billion animals are slaughtered for human consumption, and a comparable number of fish. The vast majority of these animals are raised in factory farms, which pose challenges in terms of animal suffering, environmental impact and human health.

Join us for a discussion on factory farming. Should we ban it? What should our relationship be with non-human animals, and what rights should we confer to them?

NB: This meetup will be bilingual, so participants will be able to express themselves in the language of their choice (French or English).
