EA Meetup With Talks

This month's meetup topic will be climate risk. The speaker will be Jonathan Harris, a full-time effective altruist who recently joined our community.

Description
Climate risk is one of the defining issues of our times. In this talk Jonathan will review the literature on the current and future economic impacts of climate change, including his recent PhD dissertation. He will then discuss what the economics suggests for those looking to effectively respond to the issue.

As usual, we begin with a short introductory talk on Effective Altruism in general followed by this month's topic. You can then grab some snacks and drinks and continue the discussion informally as long as you'd like.
